When students evaluate an MBA in Delhi NCR, the conversation often revolves around placements, salary packages, and recruiters. But what often goes unnoticed is a far more powerful differentiator \u2014 how early and how consistently students engage with companies during the program<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To unpack what \u201caccess to companies\u201d truly means beyond the surface, we spoke with Prof. Indrajit Lahiri, Professor of Practice at FIIB<\/strong>, a global banking leader with over three decades of experience across Citi, HSBC, Barclays, and GE Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, initiatives like the Career Pathway Simulation (CPS)<\/strong> bring recruiters into simulated hiring environments. Students go through evaluation processes that mirror actual recruitment \u2014 long before placement season begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then you have large-scale platforms like the HR Leadership Summit<\/strong>, where senior HR leaders, CHROs, and talent heads engage directly with students. These aren\u2019t passive conferences \u2014 they become spaces where students understand hiring trends, expectations, and decision-making frameworks in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So access here is layered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Direct evaluation by recruiters<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Similarly, through the Social Internship Program (SIP)<\/strong>, students engage with organizations like Dream Girl Foundation, translating classroom concepts into measurable social impact \u2014 which later feeds into research, as seen in Anushka Tomar\u2019s international recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      So the classroom is constantly being tested against real-world expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cCan you share examples where this access has translated into real outcomes?\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n


      There are several.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Take the case of Shiv Sharma<\/strong>, who leveraged mentorship, networking, and LinkedIn engagement to secure an internship with ITC Limited in the strategy and growth team \u2014 independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Or Ishan Sharma<\/strong>, whose leadership roles within campus ecosystems translated into a pre-sales strategy internship with Sleepwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      These are not isolated cases. They reflect a pattern:
      When students are consistently exposed to industry expectations, they become proactive rather than dependent on placement processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Even at a global level, students like Mansi Kaushik<\/strong> have gone on to represent South & Central Asia at the United Nations General Assembly Week through FIIB\u2019s association with PRME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      These outcomes are not accidental \u2014 they are built on sustained exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
