In its 26 years of legacy in excellence in management education, FIIB has been able to establish three distinct and distinguished Centres of Excellence – Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), Centre for Executive Education (CEE), and FIIB Case Research Centre (FCRC).
In addition to these Centres, FIIB had hoisted another distinctive Initiatives of Excellence in FIIB Business Review (FBR), a well-acknowledged management focused, interdisciplinary journal which is equally popular among the academics and the industry practitioners.
Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE)
CIE is an endeavor from FIIB to create a sustainable ecosystem for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship within the FIIB community. Founded in 2012, the CIE works to nurture entrepreneurial mindset and skillset among the students. It provides both mentoring and networking support to enterprising individuals and teams within the FIIB community to help them mature their ideas into successful ventures and establish a strong sense of innovation-based entrepreneurship mindset in them. CIE conducts several events, seminars, and workshops both for students of and beyond FIIB to cultivate this entrepreneurial spirit.
The FIIB Case Research Centre (FCRC) aims to inculcate and foster case writing skills among the management academics and practitioners. Accordingly, it works closely with the corporate professional and business community in developing high quality cases on the Indian and International context in partnership with its students, faculty and fellow researchers. Over the years, FCRC has garnered and enjoys an inherent advantage in developing cases in the Indian context as well as that of other emerging markets.
Being a premier management institute, FIIB uses ‘case method’ as an integral component of its teaching pedagogy across all courses. Students at the institute are extremely receptive and responsive to the case based way of teaching. Blended learning formats have further increased the scope and dependence on cases as an effective tool to learn and apply theoretical concepts in practice
The Centre for Executive Education (CEE) at FIIB creates and conducts specialized training programs for working professionals that enhance their skills to drive growth in their organizations. CEE offers both Open and Customized EDPs spanning across business functions and seniority levels. The executive development programs conducted by CEE are essentially hands-on and experiential. They encourage the participants to push their knowledge perspective and evolve their skills by the ‘doing’ mode of learning.
Published since 2011, FIIB Business Review (FBR) is a management focused, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal from the FIIB which disseminates knowledge about good practices of professional management. It is aimed to serve as a communication bridge between those who study management and those who practice it, and focuses on publishing articles that are both research-based and practice-based.
FBR seeks to build a think tank of management academics, policy makers and practitioners by providing a platform for dialogue through a basket of mixed publications that provides insightful perspectives on emerging managerial themes, researches and cases on trending managerial issues.
