FIIB Business Review

Published since 2011, FIIB Business Review (FBR) is a management-focused, inter-disciplinary, peer-reviewed quarterly journal brought out by FIIB for disseminating knowledge and good practice of professional management. It carries research and practice-based articles, cases and perspectives providing an enriched knowledge platform to students, academics and practitioners in the field of management.

FBR is an initiative by FIIB to build a knowledge-based network of management academicians, policy makers and practitioners. Every quarter, it brings out insightful perspectives on emerging managerial themes, scholarly and applied research works of value to professional managers and academics and management cases that highlight contemporary managerial issues.

FBR Objectives

Promote applied research in emergent themes that improve the practice of management
Serve as a vehicle of communication between those who study management and those who practice it by publishing articles that are both research-based and practice-based.

The Journal

FBR constantly looks out for and invites quality papers related to research, perspectives, cases and reviews to be published in its quarterly issues. It is published in March, June, September and December. Any issue of FBR typically features the following sections:

includes conceptual and empirical researches by scholars

includes cases on a specific problem or solution, or a story of business success or failure

Perspective Section

includes viewpoints on contemporary and emerging aspects in the management field.

Digitalization as a Vehicle to Balance New vs Old Practices of Consumers and Organizations

Social distancing mandates have disrupted the practices and habits of both business organizations and consumers. The process of procuring, distributing, purchasing, and consuming is learning to improvise through many experiments and experiences. A lot of emphasis is being given to digitalization during this time. The contributions in this issue focus on how digitalization has transformed various sectors such as textiles, information technology, sharing economy, telecom, international trade, healthcare, and luxury markets. How to Manage with Consumers’ Perceptions, Fears, Anger and Future Decisions

The behaviour of consumers differs because of their personal, economic, social, and geographical characteristics. Organizations are responsible to explore ‘what customers want’ and what is fit to satisfy their needs. So, organizations try all the possible ways to identify customer’s expectation and facilitate the same. Yet, consumer choice remains a puzzle for organizations to solve.
