Meraki 2012 – Summary Overview:
Meraki 2012, organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell “Udaan” at Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), was a nationwide business plan competition held on March 1-2, 2012. Open to students from undergraduate and graduate institutions across India, the event featured 84 colleges, including IITs, IIMs, and other top institutions.
Competition Structure:
- Registration Stage: Participants registered their interest.
- Elimination Stage: Teams submitted executive summaries of their business plans; the top 10 were selected.
- Presentation Rounds: Shortlisted teams presented their detailed plans. Five finalists competed in the grand finale.
Winners:
- Winner: WeThinkers (SNDT Women’s College, Mumbai)
A creative business idea that showcased innovation and practicality. The winning team impressed the jury with their innovative and practical business idea that showcased strong potential for real-world implementation and scalability. - Runner-Up: The Green Energy (IIM Bangalore)
Focused on sustainable energy solutions for a greener future. The runner-up team presented a visionary plan centered around sustainable energy solutions, addressing critical environmental challenges with a focus on green technology. - Third Place: Agamya (NITIE, Mumbai)
Presented an entrepreneurial concept emphasizing efficiency and impact. Securing third place, Agamya demonstrated a well-structured business concept aimed at improving operational efficiency while creating significant social and financial impact.
