2016
Meraki 2016, held on January 29-30, was the 5th edition of the international business plan competition hosted by Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB). With top 12 teams from renowned institutions, the event showcased innovative entrepreneurial ideas evaluated by a panel of experienced venture capitalists and angel investors.
Competition Structure:
- Stage 1: Registration and submission of business plans.
- Stage 2: Evaluation and selection of finalists.
- Stage 3: Final presentations by top 12 teams.
- Prizes: INR 1,50,000 for the winner, INR 1,00,000 for the runner-up, and INR 50,000 for third place, along with trophies and certificates.

A unique mobile-based social gaming network that allows users to play games without downloading apps, making gaming simpler and more accessible. (Winner: INR 1,50,000) - Weekend Works (SRCC, Delhi)
Proposed a comprehensive waste management solution to address sustainability challenges, integrating innovative practices and recycling. (Runner-Up: INR 1,00,000) - Genesis (Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai)
Developed a creative product: reusable and removable fabric patches for t-shirts, combining fashion with functionality. (3rd Place: INR 50,000) - Samartha (NMIMS, Mumbai)
Aimed to make biodegradable sanitary napkins affordable and accessible using a distribution network of women entrepreneurs. - Swachh Plastic (Fore School of Management, Delhi)
Presented a plan to design biodegradable polymers with high functionality, addressing the growing environmental concerns around plastic waste. - Invictus (NMIMS, Mumbai)
Focused on aggregating rural handicraft manufacturing and leveraging online channels to empower artisans and promote cultural products. - Saadhan (IRMA, Anand)

Envisioned “Healthy Baba,” a platform for delivering nutritious food via an online marketplace to promote healthy living. - Vector Consultancy (Christ University, Bengaluru)
Proposed an aggregation-based e-commerce platform designed to streamline supply chains and increase efficiency. - Instadely (NSIT, Delhi)
Tackled B2B and B2C challenges by offering innovative solutions for merchants to enhance their operations. - Eminent (SIIB, Pune)
Developed a business model to export chicken feet using an efficient procurement and preservation system, tapping into a niche international market.
