FIIB Students Debate Implications of Budget 2019

FIIB awarded as Best Educational Institute for Industry Interface by the Education post

To shed light on the Budget 2019 and enlighten students with the key hits and misses in taxation, a panel discussion on Finance Budget 2019 focussing the impacts of the budget on Indian economy and individual citizens aka taxpayers was held at FIIB on Tuesday, February 5.

The discussion was addressed by two panellists, Ranjeet Kumar Mishra (Chartered Accountant (C.A.) & Cost Accountant (I.C.W.A.)) and Vineet Gupta (corporate and individual income tax expert), delivered their insights on government current policies, Indian startup ecosystem, income tax exemption limits and tax brackets.

In an attempt to make students understand the politics behind budget, Mishra quoted "Government schemes change as often as their faces, but to bring good in the country, it is necessary for them to do something (at least)". Students of FIIB also participated in the session with full enthusiasm and asked different questions, which can be read here.
