Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) organized a one day seminar on Effective use of Business Simulations in Management Curriculum at its campus on 23rd December 2015. Business simulations are being used by business schools all over the world. Many of the top-ranked business schools in India are already using a variety of business simulations. However, the majority of the business schools have not yet taken the step towards using this innovative teaching tool.

This seminar focused on how to effectively use business simulations in management curriculum and make business learning an enriching experience.

Prof. Dr. Ashok N. Ullal, Managing Director German Simulations Pvt. Ltd shared his experience of using business simulations in management teaching as practiced globally. Dr. Ashok Ullal lived all his professional life in the Germany. He is Professor emeritus and former Dean of the School of International Business, Reutlingen University, Germany.

The exclusive seminar aimed to provide us information on how business simulations can add value to the existing pedagogical approach. How we should be able take a decision on using business simulations at our institution.

Prof. Dr. Ashok N. Ullal explained the difference between a business game and a business simulation along with what learning outcomes could be derived through business simulations. How using a business simulation enhances experiential learning would benefit our students.
