FIIB organizes a day long Blood Donation Camp
19 February 2014

“From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.” - Arthur Ashe

Blood Donation is an incredible lifesaving gesture, which is equivalent to giving life. Blood can’t be manufactured by artificial means; it has to be supplemented from a donor. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day. To contribute towards the noble cause, FIIB organizes Blood Donation Campaigns annually and encourages every healthy person to participate in it.

Fortune Institute of International Business in association with the Lion’s International Club organized a Blood Donation Camp at FIIB premises on 18th February, 2014. The daylong Camp saw active participation from all FIIB’ians. The Camp also received participation from a handful of volunteers other than FIIB’ians. The success of the camp can be attributed to the relentless hard work of the Organizing Committee and members of the Lion’s Club. The donors received a glass of fruit juice, fruits and a small token of appreciation for their noble act.

The Blood Donation Campaign is an integral part of the Campus Sustainability Initiative at FIIB in its continuous endeavor to give back exemplary contributions to the society. A few other successful drives by the Institute include: E-waste Collection Drive, Cloth Collection Drive, Recycling Solid waste, Composting of organic waste etc.
