FIIB Training Program: College Campus to Corporate Transition

Fortune Institute of International Business Delhi, hosted a 2-day Training Program in collaboration with IKYA Global, with the primary focus to imbibe cutting edge tools and techniques into the “Campus to Corporate Transition” of the 2nd year management students.

The Training: Keys to a Successful Career

With a vision to bridge the gap between MBA Campus and the Corporate transitions, the training was conducted on 28th and 29th March at the institute in South Delhi. Select MBA students from Batch 2012-2014, FIIB Delhi were part of the training program. With more than 85% of the management students of the same batch already placed with some of the best recruiters of the present generation market; the training exercise gave to the recruited MBA students a golden opportunity to revisit, relearn and integrate a few basics into their working lives. At the same time, it fed grains of self-confidence, attitude and elements of success into the minds of the students doing MBA that are still waiting in the recruitment pipeline.

The Trainers discussed various methodologies and required prowess to bring out effective time management, goal setting skills among the participants. They trained management students about latest Industry trends by highlighting a market’s expectations from Management Graduates through interactive Case Discussions, Role Plays and FAQ’s. The training sessions at the college, further enlightened students pursuing MBA about work-station dealings for the initial days, techniques to make the first year at work more effective, how to become more result-oriented and how to utilize the power of Networking for Career Development.

A great Learning Experience

The response and participation in the training was overwhelming. The Brand “YOU”, as emphasized by the trainer, was instantly recognized and tips on how to have a robust career was widely appreciated.

About the Trainers

Mr. Vikas Sethia, Business Head, IKYA Global – was invited as the principal trainer for the training sessions. A management graduate, Mr. Vikas has spent 6 years in IKYA and has been instrumental in setting up its RPO business, including setting up one of the largest ongoing RPO engagements with a Fortune 500 client in India. He also supports several process excellence initiatives across IKYA including the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
