About the Doctoral Colloquium

Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi, India is going to organize the first Doctoral Colloquium on Management Studies (DCMS). The Doctoral Colloquium aims to bring together scholars from diverse disciplines and institutes of reputation across the world. This event provides an opportunity for doctoral Scholars to present their research proposals and gain valuable inputs. The colloquium aims to create an environment for exchange of thoughts and ideas among peers to enhance their proposals into publication in the future.

The colloquium also connects early budding researchers with experienced faculty members, this will help provide a professional, stimulating and international environment to participants, who can discuss their research ideas, establish informal networks and initiate scope of future collaboration.

Intended Participants

The Colloquium is open to doctoral scholars in management discipline, who have commenced preparing their research proposals. The colloquium is open to both Indian and international research scholars. The scholars will not only receive feedback from stalwarts in their field, but also stand a chance to win exciting rewards. We do not encourage participants who have submitted their thesis.

Submission Guidelines

  1. The full research proposal should be sent to the following email address: dcms@fiib.edu.in
  2. Please name your submission document (only in pdf format) as Track_Submission_Name e.g. Marketing Management_Submission_Name.
  3. One research proposal should be submitted only to one track.
  4. A. Research Proposal formatting:
No more than 3000 words (including references, figures, and tables)
Follow APA 6th edition style referencing
Number all pages
All author details including affiliations and contact details must be clearly mentioned in the body of the email. The ‘Subject Line’ of the email must clearly mention the track to which the extended abstract is submitted.

N.B. 1.The submitted research proposals will not be submitted to any repository.
  1. Similarity Check would be run on the Research Proposals to ensure academic intergrity
After the initial announcement of the colloquium, doctoral scholars may be invited first to submit their research proposals. A faculty committee would review the research proposals and from among them, select a subset for presentation at the colloquium. The shortlisted papers would then be adjusted on the basis of (1) clarity of research questions, objectives and relevance, (2) novelty of insights, (3) contribution to the theory development in the relevant field or sub field. Selected papers will then be invited for a full-fledged presentation. The colloquium aims to guide budding scholars; therefore, authors of papers selected for presentation would be encouraged to improve their work. Finally, selected research proposals in each discipline will be considered for best research proposal awards
