Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full-time programme that offers candidates a unique opportunity to sharpen their research acumen and foster teaching skills. With a strong focus on promoting a spirit of enquiry and interdisciplinary education in management research, the programme aims to build a community of strong academics, researchers and management leaders who can lead from the front.
With its unique programme structure and a strong focus on enhancing research skills of the scholars, the

programme provides a conducive environment for personal and professional growth. The FPM is open to goal-oriented, self-driven and focused candidates who intend to enhance their career in teaching, research or corporate sector by pursuing an advance degree in management research.
A candidate going into the FPM will not only experience a course curriculum which will build their research skill and imbibe a sense of enquiry, but will also expose them to a world of ample opportunities for them to learn. They will enrich their experience in the form of the various options within the institute available for them. This will help them in their future career prospects.

Candidates aiming for FPM at FIIB must have one of the following academic qualification(s): A Masters' degree in Business Administration or equivalent in allied discipline (Business Economics, Economics, Tourism Management, and Commerce) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point from an institution/university recognized by AICTE.
or
Five-year integrated Masters' degree in Business Administration, tourism management, business economics, commerce or other allied domain related to business and management with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point from an institution/university recognized by AICTE.
or
A graduate degree with professional qualification like CA, CS, ICWA.
The candidates who possess any of the above qualifications should have cleared one of the following tests: JRF/NET by UGC or CSIR: The candidates should have NET/JRF (qualified and valid) in the business management or allied disciplines (business economics, economics, tourism management, hotel management and Commerce) related to the academic degrees discussed in academic qualification.

CAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA: qualified should not be taken earlier than two years from the date of admission).

Research Aptitude Test (RAT) FIIB will be conducting the online Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to assess the research aptitude of the candidate before going into the programme. It will consist of four sections namely: Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Data & Numerical Sufficiency, English Language Comprehension, and Research & Teaching Aptitude. The exam will be of 1.5 hours. Candidates are required to submit a research proposal in the area they are interested to specialize in their FPM. A discussion on the submitted proposal will take place in front of the Doctoral Committee of FIIB. A pre-doctoral workshop on 'Writing a research proposal: Final frontier to becoming a Doctoral Candidate' will be organized for candidates to familiarize them with research writing and proposal drafting.
Selected candidates are required to register for admission within 15 days of the admission offer. In case of failure, the seat will be allocated to the next candidate in the waiting list.

Curriculum & Pedagogy

To complete the FPM Programme successfully, candidates need to earn 53 credits in minimum three years and a maximum of four years. It is compulsory for the candidates to earn at least 2 credits from research publications and 1 credit from research presentation in international conferences as their research contribution.

  • Apply self-awareness and reflection to engage in dialogue (intra-personal and inter-personal) that informs their personal development during the program

    Year 1: Coursework

    The first year consists of coursework with a mix of compulsory and area-specific courses. It carries a total of 30 credits. The course work is further divided into 3 modules and will include a mix of classroom sessions, seminars, workshops, etc.

    Year 2: Research Proposal and Comprehensive Viva-Voce

    Scholars will have to present the final research proposal with a comprehensive viva-voce in front of a panel comprising of the Scholar's Doctoral Research Committee and an external expert along with the Doctoral Committee, FIIB faculty members and other doctoral scholars. Candidates can work side by side on their research publications to earn additional credits.

    Year 3: Submission of Thesis

    Candidates will have to submit the thesis followed by an open seminar, which will be conducted in front of all the faculty members and scholars. Submitted thesis will be evaluated by two external experts (one national and one international expert). After getting the evaluation reports satisfactory, the final Viva will be conducted in the presence of the Doctoral Committee, Doctoral Research Committee, faculty members and scholars. After completion of the final Viva, a notification will be issued of completion leading to the award of the EFPM degree.

Fees & Financing

Fee:
Rs 50,000 (Registration Fees) Thereafter Rs 15,000/annum from 2nd year Onwards

Financial Support: To motivate and encourage scholars to engage in quality research, FIIB offers stipend to its full-time scholars. For the 1st and 2nd year the scholars will get a stipend of Rs. 25,000/month, while in 3rd year the scholars will get a stipend of Rs. 28,000/month.
