In the second year, the student opts for elective courses to specialize in a maximum of two functional areas. The areas of specialization offered in our PGDM programmeare: Marketing, Finance, HR, International Business, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Strategy & Entrepenurship.
To specialize in an area, a student must opt for a minimum of six elective courses offered in that area. All elective packages, however, may not be offered, as this would be determined by the number of students showing interest in any mentioned area of specialization. Details about the electives are made available to students when they join FIIB.
At FIIB we believe that a leader steps out to explore what lies beyond the familiar to develop a well-rounded perspective. It is with this aim that as a part of our unique MBA curriculum, we take our students for business study tours every year to provide them with an experience which is unique in international exposure and cultural experience.
During the MBA study tour, they visit industries to understand the functioning of the business environment there as well as experience the local life, culture and festivities of the area. Our MBA students have toured Dubai, Slovenia, Italy, Finland and China in the past.
Note - The ensuing GIE Program would be conducted based on the then prevailing global travel scenario and the prescribed government guidelines regarding the same and the final decision would be at the sole discretion of the management committee of the institute.'
