Meet Sourabh Verma, a distinguished member of FIIB's Class of 2004, currently excelling as the Managing Director - Global Marketing & Pricing COE at FedEx. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of a positive attitude and the diverse skill set acquired at FIIB.
Early Foundations:
Sourabh initiated his career as a Costing Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent, setting the stage for a successful corporate journey.
Climbing the Corporate Ladder:
Alcatel-Lucent (February 2004-March 2006):
Commencing his career as a Costing Engineer, Sourabh gained valuable experience in the telecommunications industry.
Bharti Airtel Ltd. (April 2006-October 2006):
Transitioning to become a Business Analyst at Bharti Airtel Ltd., he broadened his skill set.
Colt Technologies (October 2006 - February 2022):
Serving as the Lead Consultant (Strategic Pricing), Sourabh contributed significantly to the organization.
FedEx ( February 2022 and onwards)
Leading and transforming the Global Marketing, Global Pricing & Commercials and Contract Management for the organization.
Awards and Achievements:
- Exceed Together Award by Colt CEO.
- Led the first-ever on-site business transition for Colt from Japan.
- Youngest Manager within the organization to set up a complete function (analytics) in Bangalore.
- Consistent recipient of cross-functional, teamwork, and individual awards.
- CSR Award for outstanding contribution to Literacy Mission by Mr. Digvijay Singh (Former CM, M.P).
- Gold Medalist for all-round performance in PGDM & University topper in Graduation.
Learnings at FIIB:
Sourabh reflects on his time at FIIB, highlighting the all-around learning experiences, whether on the cricket pitch, in hostel dynamics, or through academic rigour. FIIB provided a robust platform for honing life skills and preparing for the corporate world.

Sourabh shares insights into his life since graduating from FIIB, emphasizing a challenging yet rewarding professional journey. He continues to provide consultancy for pricing, marketing, and business development strategy, showcasing the all-around rigour instilled during his FIIB days.
Fond Memories of FIIB:
Sourabh cherishes his days at FIIB, with the lush green campus at Bijwasan being a standout feature. He misses reflective walks through the woods and fog, especially during winter.
