RK Sir, as he was affectionately known, hailed from a humble family in a small Madhya Pradesh town, India. After earning a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, he pursued his PGDBM (MBA) at the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. His modest origins and the transformative power of education became a wellspring of inspiration for those he touched. In 1977, he embarked on a fearless entrepreneurial journey, establishing businesses in industrial machinery, mining, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and leather, garnering more than 20 prestigious accolades, including the Vijay Ratna Award for industry excellence, the Gem Of India Award for contributions to India`s social and political fabric, and the Hind Rattan Award for remarkable services and achievements. A staunch advocate of education`s ability to reshape destinies, he founded FIIB in 1994. His vision was to provide world-class management education that matched international standards and was relevant to the industry. Through FIIB, he aspired to nurture extraordinary management talent capable of offering principled leadership. He dared everyone who knew him to dream, work diligently, and strive for nothing less than excellence.
