At Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), responsible management education goes beyond theory. It is designed to be lived, practiced, and measured. SIP Mela 2026 marked the culmination of FIIB’s Social Internship Program (SIP), a 15-day immersive engagement where 291 students collaborated with 29+ Social Sector Organizations (SSOs) and CSR partners to address real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs 4, 5, 8, and 9).
The event brought together students, faculty, alumni, industry leaders, and social impact partners to showcase research-driven solutions across areas such as gender equity, disability inclusion, sustainable livelihoods, waste management, education access, and enterprise development.
Learning That Precedes Earning
The Social Internship Program reflects FIIB’s philosophy that leadership must be grounded in responsibility. Students are encouraged to move beyond observational internships to deliver tangible outputs including:
- White papers
- Consulting reports
- Policy briefs
- Impact frameworks
- Implementation toolkits
Each project is aligned with clearly identified SDGs, ensuring structured impact rather than symbolic participation.
