New Delhi — What should an MBA prepare students for when industries are changing faster than classrooms can keep up?
That question led Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi, an AACSB-accredited and PRME Champion business school, to launch of FIIBX™, a new educational framework designed to redefine management education for a world shaped by artificial intelligence, rapid change, and evolving human capability requirements.
Positioned as “Learning for a Variable Future,” FIIBX is not being introduced as a new specialization or curriculum update, but as a complete redesign of how management capability is developed, applied, and assessed.
The initiative emerges from a foundational question FIIB spent nearly two years examining:
“What does a capable management graduate look like when the future keeps changing shape?”
According to FIIB, the answer required going beyond syllabus revisions and rethinking the assumptions underlying traditional management education itself.
“The world has changed in ways that a revised syllabus alone cannot address,” said Dr. Radhika Shrivastava, CEO-FIIB. “As AI transforms execution, analysis, and information access, the value of distinctly human capabilities rises sharply. FIIBX was built to develop those capabilities deliberately and systematically.”
FIIBX is structured around four concurrent dimensions of capability development:
• Foundational understanding
• Interdisciplinary connection
• Analytical intelligence
• Human judgement
Rather than treating these sequentially, FIIBX integrates them throughout the learning journey to reflect the realities of modern decision-making environments.
The framework also embeds AI across the educational experience; not as a standalone subject, but as a permanent feature of professional life that students must learn to work alongside responsibly and intelligently.
One of the most significant changes introduced under FIIBX is the redesign of student assessment.
FIIB stated that traditional recall-based examinations are increasingly inadequate in an AI-enabled world where information generation and summarisation can be automated instantly. In response, FIIBX replaces large parts of conventional evaluation with evidence-based assessment focused on demonstrated capability, judgement, problem-solving, and real-world application.
To ensure the framework remains aligned with evolving industry and technological realities, FIIB has also constituted an AI Curriculum Advisory Board comprising industry leaders, academic experts, and technology practitioners who will help guide the continuous evolution of the FIIBX learning ecosystem.
Under the new model, students will build portfolios of applied work, decisions, projects, and outcomes that serve as stronger indicators of capability for employers.
“Deciding what to assess is deciding what knowledge means,” added Dr. Shrivastava. “We believe management education must move beyond information recall and focus on the ability to build, adapt, decide responsibly, and lead under ambiguity.”
FIIBX will begin implementation with the 2026 PGDM & PGDM FM cohort.
